'Creatures of the Night' featured on Coastal Kingdom

The County Channel will broadcast "Creatures of the Night," the fourth episode in its award winning series, Coastal Kingdom, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Coastal Kingdom is an original television series produced by Beaufort County government in partnership with The Lowcountry Institute, a non-profit organization that helps policymakers and others make informed decisions regarding conservation and natural resources. Coastal Kingdom recently earned four international Telly Awards.

Memorial set for lost shrimper

A candlelight vigil has been scheduled next week for Willis Lewis "Capt. Bill" Frazier, who fell off a shrimp boat Wednesday off the coast of Hilton Head Island, the Island Packet newspaper reported Saturday..

A longtime member of the Hilton Head fishing community, the 50-year-old Frazier disappeared in rough seas after falling off the rail of the Miss Pudgy, according to the Coast Guard. A search for him ended Thursday evening.
