Memorial set for lost shrimper

A candlelight vigil has been scheduled next week for Willis Lewis "Capt. Bill" Frazier, who fell off a shrimp boat Wednesday off the coast of Hilton Head Island, the Island Packet newspaper reported Saturday..

A longtime member of the Hilton Head fishing community, the 50-year-old Frazier disappeared in rough seas after falling off the rail of the Miss Pudgy, according to the Coast Guard. A search for him ended Thursday evening.

The Rev. Lillian Mitchell of First African Baptist Church said the vigil, to be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, is designed to "bring the community together for prayer for the family."

It will be held at 514 Spanish Wells Road, the home of Frazier's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Young.
